How to find your accommodation

Accommodation

With one click on the "Accommodations" button (on the left navigation bar) you reach the enhanced search screen which helps you to narrow down your search of a hotel. Please specify here your search criteria such as room rate, type of establishment or hotel chain. Non-relevant boxes may be left blank - except of course the name of the town. In order to start the search, just click the "search now" button. The search results will appear immediately.

Search results

On the results page you will find a list of lodgings that fulfil your search criteria. If you click on the hotel name, a detailed description of the hotel in question will be given. If you decide upon an accommodation of your choice, you can click on the "Inquiry" button for a non-binding reservation inquiry, or else click on the "Online booking" button to make a firm booking.

Reservation inquiry

If you have found an accommodation of your choice, you can click on the "Inquiry" button to obtain, free of charge and non-binding, information about the availability of rooms. Just specify the date of arrival and departure, number and type of rooms, your address and, if you wish, additional comments. A click on "send" will transmit your inquiry to the hotel concerned. Please note: this reservation inquiry is a non-binding request for information, but no firm booking! The hotel will contact you to inform you whether and at what price the desired room is available. If the hotel does not answer within 48 hours, you may assume that no room is available.

Confirmation of reservation

Once you have sent your non-binding reservation inquiry, we will send you a list of the data received by us. Simultaneously, we transmit these data to the hotel concerned. The hotel checks the availability of the room(s) requested, informs you of the rate and confirms your reservation as soon as possible. You can consult the details of your reservation at any time under "My reservation" on the enhanced search screen. Please note: The reservation inquiry is just a request of information, but no firm booking!

Online-booking

Hotels offering online booking are identified by the "Online Booking" button. Once you have decided upon an accommodation of your choice, just enter the dates of arrival and departure, number and type of rooms required and the details of your credit card. The booking system now checks the availability of the rooms requested and within a few seconds informs you whether they are free, and you can now make a firm booking. holidaA does not charge you any reservation fee, and payment is made directly to the hotel or by credit card. You will receive immediate confirmation on your screen and a second confirmation via e-mail. Please note: In case you cannot reach your destination, all online bookings have to be cancelled beforehand. This cancellation can also be made online.

Confirmation of booking

Once you have sent your firm booking, you will immediately receive confirmation via e-mail. Please take note of your reservation number, in order to be able to make an online cancellation, if necessary. You can consult the details of your reservation at any time under "My reservation" on the enhanced search screen. Please note: an online booking is a firm booking. In case you cannot reach your destination, you have to cancel your reservation.

My reservation (cancellations)

The "My reservation" button is always available for you on the enhanced search screen. Here you will find a list of all inquiries and/or bookings you have made. In this way, you always have complete information about all actions you have taken. By entering a reservation number and your e-mail address, you will receive complete information on the reservation/booking concerned. Reservation inquiries do not have to be cancelled since they are no firm bookings. Here you can also make online cancellations of your bookings.
